NEED TO MAKE A CLAIM?

If you, or any other individual has suffered a loss covered by your policy you should immediately contact your BC Yacht Insurance representative and take all reasonable steps to prevent further damage or injury.

You should notify the appropriate authorities immediately. If an injury or collision is involved, contact the local Police (RCMP in Canada), Coast Guard and/or other local authority. If a there is a theft, suspected theft or fire contact the police and/or the fire department.

You must be prepared to provide a sworn and written statement including:

• A full description of the loss or claim;
• The time, date and place the accident or event occurred;
• The names and addresses of anyone who is injured;
• The names and addresses of any witnesses.
